Game One Recap:
Bay Path University watched the game slip away in the middle innings and couldn’t recover in an 6-4 loss to Elms College on Thursday.
Bay Path University had trouble on holding off the Blazers in the third and fourth innings allowing them to extend the lead to 5-3. Isabella Ferrara took the loss for Bay Path University. Ferrara surrendered six runs on nine hits over seven innings, striking out five and walking three. Jayden Dow got the win for Elms College. The pitcher surrendered four runs on eight hits over seven innings, walking two. Bay Path University collected 8 hits on the day. Caroline Austin, and Ferrara each had twoe hits for Bay Path University. Elms College totaled nine hits in the game. Courtney Schwark and Kelsey Bennett had three hits each for Elms College.
Game Two Recap:
Bay Path University had no trouble on offense today, winning big over Elms College 10-2
In the first inning, Bay Path University got their offense started. Taylor Suffoletto singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.
Bay Path University tallied three runs in the sixth inning. Bay Path University big bats were led by Suffoletto, Isabella Ferrara, and Olivia Stebbins, all driving in runs in the frame.
Emma Scheeren pitched Bay Path University to victory. Scheeren surrendered two runs on nine hits over seven innings, striking out three and walking zero.
Kyla Cook took the loss for Elms College. Cook lasted four innings, allowing six hits and five runs while striking out three
Bay Path University collected 14 hits on the day. Caroline Austin, Suffoletto, Madison Tessmer, and Stebbins each had multiple hits for Bay Path University. Suffoletto and Austin each collected three hits to lead Bay Path University.
Elms College totaled nine hits in the game. Josie Cammarata and Katie Cosmos both managed three hits for Elms College.
Bay Path hosts a parir of doubleheaders this weekend with a pair of games on Saturday, April 1 at 1 & 3 pm vs. Word of Life Institute and a pair of games on Sunday, April 2 vs. Northern Vermont-Lyndon at 1 & 3 pm.
